Washington, D.C. July 26, 2018. The Whistleblower Summit® for Civil & Human Rights will host its seventh annual event from July 30th to August 1st, 2018 in Washington, D.C. Whistleblowers and their advocates will attend free discussion panels and events to celebrate the important role of whistleblowers to an open and free society.

The opening welcome session will take place on July 30th, 9am-10am in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, Room G50, 50 Constitution Ave, NE, Washington, DC 20002.

Representatives from whistleblower advocacy groups will make opening remarks about the importance of protecting whistleblowers. These include:

  • Marcel Reid, ACORN 8/Pacifica Whistleblower Liaison

Following the welcome session, the National Whistleblower Center will host the annual National Whistleblower Day Luncheon in Dirksen, Room G50 starting at 11am. The luncheon is an invitation only event.

The keynote speaker is Senator Chuck Grassley, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Other speakers will include whistleblowers and government officials. Linda Tripp, a former whistleblower with the Office of Special Counsel, will also be making a rare public appearance.
