This week, a wide range of whistleblower advocacy groups will be participating in the annual Whistleblower Summit for Human and Civil Rights, in honor of National Whistleblower Day on July 30th. The annual Summit provides an opportunity for whistleblowers, whistleblower advocates, and whistleblower supporting organizations to discuss the state of whistleblower protection in the United States and plan the future fight for whistleblower rights.

National Whistleblower Day commemorates the signing of a unanimous resolution by our country’s Founding Fathers in support of whistleblowers back in 1778, which declared, “It is the duty of all persons in the service of the United States” to alert the government of any “misconduct, frauds, or misdemeanors.” The annual event celebrates the Founding Fathers’ vision and the courage of whistleblowers throughout our nation’s history.

During the Summit, the National Whistleblower Center is hosting a luncheon on July 27th . The event is currently at capacity, however you can email contact@whistleblowers.org to be added to the waitlist in the event any seats become available.

The schedule for Summit events is available online at www.whistleblowersummit.com/summit_at_a_glance.
